IMPROVE YOUR AIR DUCT CLEANING IQ
The average home generates about 40 pounds of dust every year, while around 72 trillion airborne particles circulate through the home every day! The most common sense reason to have professional Air Duct Cleaning performed; Your Air Duct System gets dirty! Really dirty! If you have not had your Air Duct System cleaned in the last 3-5 years (or ever), then you can be pretty sure it's loaded with various types of airborne contaminants, and possibly larger debris in the supply lines that has found its way past the vents in your floor.
Your depend on your Air System to deliver clean, quiet, efficient air to your living space, so you can enjoy excellent indoor air quality. We want help with that, especially if you or others in your home are more sensitive to common airborne contaminants than others, or may be suffering from 'unexplained symptoms or illnesses' (EPA). Those who suffer from allergies and asthma, as well as young children and the elderly, are often more susceptible to the types of airborne pollutants that 'True Duct Cleaning' can help address.
According to the EPA 'The main purposes of a Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) system are to help maintain good Indoor Air Quality through adequate ventilation with filtration and provide thermal comfort.' But over time, your furnace and air duct system becomes contaminated, the air flow restricted, and it's not so quiet anymore. This happens for a few different reasons:
1. FLOOR VENTS: In predominantly cold weather climates the air supply vents in most homes are located in the floor. Why? Because heat rise. Conversely, in predominantly hot weather climates the air supply vents in most homes are located in the ceiling (because cold air tends to settle). Air supply vents in the floor would not be a problem in a perfect world without contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, mold, animal dander, dust mites, cockroaches, pollen, dirt, dust, debris, etc., but in the world we live in, it's a huge problem. All that unhealthy junk falls right through the vents and into the duct work along with whatever else the the curious little kiddos can drop into them. Larger debris in the lines can cause your airflow to be restricted making your system less efficient and maybe not as quiet as it used to be.
2. AVAILABLE INDOOR AIR: The largest portion of the contaminants in your air system come from the available indoor air that is pulled through your return lines, into your Furnace, and blown right back into your indoor space. Hundreds of hours a year this continuous loop goes on and on without a lot of thought, but over time, trillions of airborne contaminants slowly but surely build up in your Air System and are recirculated throughout your home.
3. POOR FILTRATION: If you have a low quality air filter in your furnace, improperly installed filter, the wrong size filter, and/or you do not replace your filter on a regular basis, the contamination, especially of the supply side of your air duct system, will occur at a more rapid pace. Regularly changing and properly installing a good quality, well fitting filter, is essential to maintaining the cleanliness of your air system, your indoor air, and your home.
